Binaural recording

A Binaural Microphone replicates the way our ears hear. Not just what the sound is... but where it's coming from.  

In 2014, JohnPaul was awarded a Faculty Development Grant from the University of the Arts to construct a custom Binaural Microphone and record an experimental EP. The result was a 40 min "3D Radio Show" called "Augustine's Pear" and a completely unique aural experience! This features 3 UArts ensembles; The "Z" Big Band, UArts Choir, and the Doo Bop Ensemble. Original big band composition by Nick Lombardelli (UArts '15) and Original Choir composition by JohnPaul. Make sure to listen with headphones!
